Red Wine Fudgesicles

        Even though it's still technically winter season, we 'Sprung forward' for Daylight Savings Time this weekend and we had a beautiful Spring-like day in Nashville yesterday! Popsicles are usually reserved for Spring and Summer. However, adding Wine to anything makes it a year 'round treat! So imagine my surprise when I cam across a recipe for Red Wine Fudgesicles....Yippie and que my Happy Food Dance!!

 I always have a couple bottles of red wine around sooooooo.........let's get it poppin'!!!!!

Prep time: 30 minutes
Yield: 4-6 Popsicles

1 Cup Red Wine
1.5 Cup Chocolate Chips (I used Milk Chocolate Chips)
1.5 Cup milk ( I used Almond Milk)


■ In a small pot simmer the wine over low/medium heat for 12-18 minutes.

■ Remove from heat and whisk in the chocolate until completely melted.

■ Stir in the milk.

■ Pour into your popsicle tray and freeze over night.

This is a great full bodied Red Wine that I almost always have on hand in my fridge. It worked out perfectly for this recipe!

Viola! The perfect Adult version of the traditional chocolate fudge popsicle :-)
