Hawaiian Pizza Dip

Hawaiian Pizza Dip

I LOVE Autumn! Usually, it's not too hot and not too cold no matter where I've lived and I've lived all over -Ohio, Mississippi, Philadelphia, Detroit and now Nashville. One of the other reasons I love Autumn so much is because of Football Season! Being an Alumni of Mississippi State University (GO DAWGS!!) and being an athletic trainer while I was there, SEC Football runs through my veins :-). There is something very comforting about Football Game Day Food so I decided to try out a new recipe just for that.

I made this recipe on a recent Saturday afternoon while SEC Football was blasting from my TV in the background. Once the dish was done, I was able to kick my feet up, sit back on my couch and fully enjoy the games with my warm Hawaiian Pizza Dip and crackers at hand :-)

Here are my ingredients (Scroll down for the full list of ingredients and recipe...)

Combine the ingredients into a large mixing bowl....

Yield: 4 Cups
Total Time: 30 minutes

8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups Shredded Mozzarella cheese (Divide it in half)
1/2 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Cups Pineapple Chunks (Divide it in half)
1 Cup Mushroom
3/4 Cup Pizza Sauce

Heat the oven to 350 Degrees F.

Lightly grease a shallow baking dish.

Combine the room temperature cream cheese, 1/2 of the shredded Mozzarella Cheese, oregano, garlic powder, 1/2 of the Pineapple chunks, and all of the mushrooms in a large mixing bowl then spread evenly in the baking dish.

Cover the mixture with Pizza sauce.

Next, add the remaining Pineapples and mushrooms then top with remaining 1 cup of Mozzarella Cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese on top is golden brown.

Serve with your favorite crackers.

Honestly, does it get much better than warm cheesy dip served with crackers for an afternoon of lounging and game-watching??

Once you try this recipe, come back here to the blog and let me know how you like it!
