Riff's Sunday Brunch

Riff's Sunday Brunch

Carlos Davis, Co-Owner of Riff's Fine Street Food & Catering, has brought back his Sunday Brunch to the Nashville Farmer's Market and I couldn't be more excited! I love to happen upon the Riff's Food Truck, but knowing that I can find Carlos serving up a great Sunday Brunch at the Farmer's Market every Sunday for at least the next couple of months is great :-)

I stopped by his Riff's Sunday Brunch recently and had some of the best and most creative brunch cuisine I had encountered in a while!

Each dish is cooked fresh and Made to Order

Seasoning up those eggs......

I'll tell you the name of this dish in a sec...........

The "Rick Bayless" - Slow Roasted Pulled Pork, Smoked Mexican Corn Cake, Fried Egg

Candied Bacon and Gouda Cheese Sauce tops this savory dish

This dish is comforting as a Sunday Brunch should be! The Mexican Corn Cake has a hint of sweetness and I love sweet corn cakes :-)

The "PRB Chicken and Waffles" - Made to Order Waffle, Porter Road Hot Chicken Sausage, Guava Peach and Cayenne Salt

Porter Road Butcher is a popular local Butcher Shop here in Nashville. The second I bit into the chicken sausage the flavor exploded onto my taste buds!

The Peach & Guava Compote is Fab!

Next up.............

Southern Ground Benedict - Bourbon BBQ Brisket, Parsley Biscuit, Tomato Jam, Eggs, Farmer's Market Squash

I enjoyed the Tomato Jam because it's sweet without being tooooo sweet. It offers a nice topping to the savory brisket

Drum Roll Please.............

The "Mychael Symon"!!!!!! -  Seafood Mac & Cheese Cobbler, local Okra, Red Onion Marmalade

OMG....Stop the Presses! This Cobbler is so flavorful and savory that had I eaten it first I would have devoured it all and had no room for anything else! As if the pasta and cheese is not a great enough combination, the pieces of shrimp and seafood that I encountered every couple of bites was out of this world! So much goodness in one dish OUGHT to be Illegal LOL! This dish reminds me of Christmas Dinner, which for the record is my favorite meal of the year....this is so comforting :-)

Please and Thank You!
