Nashville Greek Festival 2013

Greek Festival 2013: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 26th Annual Greek Festival

Attending the Greek Festival 2013 in Nashville was my first stop in a few food festivals the 1st full weekend in September! I ventured out early and was able to beat the crowds = No long lines for food!

I stopped by some of the vendors on my way to the food tents and found some of the most gorgeous items! Look at these beautiful bowls...

Candles from The Candelry - they smell great!

I enjoyed the Spanakopita - Spinach and cheese triangle Pastry made with layers of filo dough. These were so delicious, I could have gone for 4 more!
I also had the Dolmades - Vegetarian stuffed Grape Leaves. These have a tasty blend of rice and veggies :-)

There was a beer tent on site as well.....

I really loved this Classic Gryo! Gyro - Thin slices of specialty seasoned lamb and beef with lettuce, tomatoes and onions served on pita bread and topped with tzatziki sauce.

What a great lunch!

There was plenty of music on hand to keep the crowd entertained

For dessert I enjoyed some delicious Loukoumades - Honey Dipped pastry sprinkled with Powdered sugar! I could go for this as a snack any day of the week :-)

This was the 26th year of the Annual Greek Festival and my first year of attendance. It most certainly won't be my last. I can't wait for next year (Early September)!
