Etch Restaurant - So this is what all the hype is about!

Etch Restaurant - So this is what all the hype is about!

I can not begin to tell you how excited I am to finally blog about one of Nashville's Hottest Restaurants - Etch! Many people who ask me about my recommendations for great Nashville restaurants, ask me if I've been to "that new restaurant everyone is talking about"! Well guys, I can finally tell you about my experience at Etch :-)

Etch is the latest culinary masterpiece created by Executive Chef Deb Paquette. Deb was actually the first woman in the state of Tennessee to qualify as a certified Executive Chef and has been creating wonderful culinary treats in Nashville since graduating from the Culinary Institute of America (Girl Power!!)

I would love to tell you that I had this visit to Etch all planned out for weeks and showed up with my DSLR camera to capture some awesome food photography. However, this was a semi-impromptu lunch meeting at Etch so I used my iPhone to capture some great shots that day (The window lighting was great so the pics actually turned out better than I thought :-) )

Roasted Cauliflower with Truffled Pea Pesto, salted almonds and feta crema

I looooove Cauliflower and this version is Amazing!!! Because both the pea pesto and feta crema are so delicious, I could not commit to one over the other and really enjoyed them both :-)

Grilled Duck Sausage with seared ginger grits, fig mustard, pickled grape, hot honey sesame spinach salad, orange goat cheese
How Gorgeous is this!?!? This was my first time having duck sausage and I loved this dish so much that it will not be my last. The sausage was full of flavorful spices that were a perfect contrast to the sweetness of the hot honey sesame spinach salad and the tangy flavor of the orange goat cheese. This dish was literally bursting with contrasting but complimentary flavors!

Warm Banana & Chocolate Cake with peanut buttercream, chocolate sauce, peanut brittle, banana citrus sorbet

This is almost to beautiful to eat.........

I was skeptical, at first, about how the citrus sorbet would pair with the smooth, creamy flavors of the cake and buttercream. However, to my surprise, it was fantastic!

I can't forget the peanut brittle......just beautiful :-)

Everything at Etch was so beautiful that I will definitely be back to take my taste buds on a culinary adventure and to capture it all with photography!
