Another Egg-cellent Brunch!

My mom's birthday is during the Christmas Holidays and we always try to surprise her with brunch or dinner at a new restaurant every year for her birthday. My family lives in Madison County, MS which has had an emergence of new restaurants in the past couple of years. This year we decided to try Another Broken Egg Cafe located at the Renaissance at Colony Park in Ridgeland, MS. What's funny to me is that when I was in high school at St. Andrew's Episcopal School (which is just across the street/parkway), this entire upscale shopping area was literally a cow pasture! Yes - nothing but trees, grass and COWS LOL! What a difference a few+ years makes!

Mmmmmm...Blackberry Preserves!

Popeye's Favorite -  Scrambled eggs blended with crisp baked bacon, fresh spinach and a touch of onions, then covered with melted jack cheese.
I LOVED this dish because it was a combination of everything savory and sweet! I spread Orange Marmalade Jelly on the English Muffins = Grand! The potatoes were soooo perfectly seasoned that I didn't even need ketchup :-)

The Turkey Burger was really tender and juicy!

My mommy had the Belgian Waffle. She let me try it and it was great!

The Buttermilk Pancakes were pretty amazing too! My sister ordered these and of course....she let me try them!

Sooooooo....I really felt like I was floating on clouds when these Biscuit Beignets came to the table! I nearly fainted when I put the first one in my mouth because they are THAT good! I didn't think that Beignets could get much better than the famous Cafe Du Monde beignets of New Orleans, but I must admit that these come in VERY close!!

Biscuit Beignets with Honey Marmalade

Beignets so NICE I had to show them TWICE!!!! LOL

I will certainly make a trip back to Another Broken Egg Cafe the next time I go "home"!
