M. Restaurant - A Welcomed New Addition to Cummins Station

M. Restaurant - A Welcomed New Addition to Cummins Station

During the recent Christmas holidays I thoroughly enjoyed myself at M. Restaurant & Bar in Cummins Station (Nashville, TN). Not only is the food AMAZING, but the atmosphere and decor is relaxing and inviting. The open kitchen gives you a first hand view of the culinary styling of Executive Chefs Toby Willis and Kevin Powell.

M. Restaurant & Bar is owned by the same owners of popular Mack & Kate's in Franklin, TN and Macke's in Green Hills.

Manager James Gorza has had a great career in the restaurant industry and is a joy to talk to about M. Restaurant & Bar, which has been around for only a couple of months now. He says the staff at M. Restaurant wants the patrons to have a "fine dining experience without a pretentious, stuffy environment". I think they convey that vision well because that is exactly what I experienced the afternoon I visited.

M. Restaurant & Bar - the latest restaurant addition to Cummins Station

I did mention that the decor is great right?!?!?!?

I loved that they were in the holiday spirit!

Need a drink, anyone???
All wines by the glass and bottle are a combination of well recognized and smaller producers.

Such a great Menu

The menu is absolutely awesome!

Tuscan Kale Salad - Fresh Black Kale, Golden Raisins, Candied Pecans, Granny Smith Apples, Gorgonzola, Apple Cider Vinaigrette

The Gorgonzola was intensely full of flavor!

The candid pecans and raisins are a tasty compliment as well........

Seared Herb Crusted Salmon - Sauteed Spinach, Roma Tomato, Saffron Aioli

This Salmon was PERFECT! A moist interior coupled with the flaky, pan-seared exterior was an awesome combination of textures seasoned to perfection!

Seared Scallops - Local Apple Roasted Brussels Sprouts, Bacon Hash, Pomegranate Champagne Shallot Emulsion

Yes, these scallops really tasted as great as they look! Check out the pan-seared seasoning...Mmmmmm

The Apple Roasted Brussels Sprouts were a flavorful addition to this dish!

Seafood Gumbo - Shrimp Gumbo with Louisiana crawfish, pulled chicken, okra and popcorn rice - AWESOME!

Whoa Nelly, check out that SHRIMP!!!!!!

Of course a meal this great can't be complete without dessert, right?!

Coconut Cake - Coconut milk and condensed milk with Raspberry Coulis

Remember how I said that I love being able to see the great Chef's at work in the open kitchen? Take a look at this!

Speaking of the great executive Chef's of M. Restaurant....here they are below:

Gourmet Breakfast @ Le Peep

Gourmet Breakfast @ Le Peep

Right before I left to go out of town for Christmas Vacation, I visited Le Peep Restaurant in Nashville and enjoyed one of the best breakfast experiences I have had in a while! I had received many recommendations from local Nashvillians to try out Le Peep and I'm really glad I did!

All I can say is WOW....this place is even better than I expected. I have to make a giant PEEP about this place because the food and the service is just THAT good! I thought that if I kept eating the staff would have to roll me out in a wheelbarrow LOL!

The manager, Brenda Snook, was really friendly and answered all of the questions I had about the restaurant. Brenda has been with the restaurant for a number of years and now leads the staff of about 15 people. My server, Mark, was also very attentive. Many of the staff members have worked together here for so long that they are like a well-oiled machine and all recognize the importance of teamwork. Brenda says that about 1/4 of their clientele are repeat patrons. As I sat there that morning enjoying my breakfast, Brenda knew many of the diners on a first name basis. Diners are greeted with a smile as they walk through the door and it is this friendly customer service that has kept Le Peep around for so long.

Almost everything at Le Peep is made from scratch. This was evident to me because the food looks AND tastes fabulous! Take a peek........

I had this Peppermint Mocha to start things off and boy was this a GREAT start!

The real Peppermint Pieces topping this Mocha is SUCH a great touch!

More on this fresh-squeezed orange juice in a minute.......

Their Christmas decorations were great!

This Orange Juicer is Amazing!!! I really don't think you can get any fresher than this: Whole, fresh oranges are placed in the top of the juicer -->

....... Oranges are split open and squeezed through the juicer -->

...Fresh Orange Juice pours into the glass which is then brought directly to your table. Like I said....I really don't think you can get any more FRESH than that!

I love Christmas Ornaments!

Mimosa made with fresh squeezed orange juice

Bloody Mary - I've never been a fan of Bloody Mary's but this one was too pretty not to try!

The garnish is so pretty!

Looks like I was well hydrated during Breakfast, right?

Stuffed French Toast with Fresh Strawberries and Whipped Cream stuffed with cream cheese and drizzled with warm maple syrup. This was so decadent and savory....I loved it!

The fresh strawberries added such a sweet touch :-)

I just adore the decor of this restaurant!

Get Benaddicted - Eggs Benedict the Le Peep Way! Two poached eggs placed on lean ham and a toasted English Muffin topped with creamy Hollandaise. It comes served with "Mom's Sassy Apples" and Peasant Potatoes.

I've never really been a fan of poached eggs but this dish is really good! The ham and English muffins are great :-)

I could have taken another order of "Mom's Sassy Apples"....they are FABULOUS!

The potatoes are perfectly seasoned as well.....

The White Lightening - Lean Diced Chicken, onions, green chilies and blended cheese topped with fresh sliced avocado, diced tomatoes and a side of salsa

I have been reintroduced to the world of Omelets through this White Lightening Omelet! I would definitely have this one again...and again....and again...

The Dawn Breaker - Eggs scrambled together with mushrooms and crisp bacon. Topped with melted jack and cheddar cheese, tomatoes and onions.

This really combines everything that I love in one place! I am also TOTALLY obsessed with mushrooms so this dish made my day!

More great art adorning the walls of the restaurant

Very cool!
