Spiced Beet Cake

Banana Pudding - Awesome!

The General Manager of Bound'ry, Otis Smith, was very welcoming to me and all the guests at the dessert tasting. He is excited that Jessica has joined the Bound'ry team and invites you all to come and try out her pastry creations!

A Weekend Trip to the Garden - The Garden Brunch Cafe

A Weekend Trip to the Garden - The Garden Brunch Cafe

If you want a little taste of New Orleans for Brunch, head on over to the Garden Brunch Cafe and let Head Chef Jennifer Carpenter whip up her famous Bananas Foster Pancakes for you! I promise that they will be some of the best pancakes you ever put in your mouth!

The Garden Brunch Cafe is not a New Orleans themed restaurant but, growing up with a father from New Orleans, that Crescent City's culinary influence is reflected in Jennifer's Signature dish.

Jennifer and her husband Karl, opened the restaurant 3 years ago and they have had a packed house every weekend since for Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch.

The Bananas Foster Pancakes are the signature pancakes of The Garden Brunch Cafe' and taste even better than they look!

Bananas Foster Pancakes - A stack of pancakes covered with sauteed caramelized bananas and walnuts in a rich buttery sauce, topped with whipped cream. The sauce is made fresh per order-AMAZING!!

Another one of Jennifer's Specialties is The Germantown - Smoked Salmon, Capers, Caramelized onions, Cherry tomatoes, Sauteed fresh organic spinach, topped with house made Hollandaise sauce.

It's Game Time - Titans Brunch at the Nashville City Club

It's the first Tennessee Titans Home Game of the Season and is a picture perfect day in Nashville, TN. The weather is in the 70s, the sun is bright and there is a sea of football fans walking toward LP Field to see the Titans play the New England Patriots.

The Nashville City Club is a private club that offers an amazing brunch before Tennessee Titans home games. The Nashville City Club now offers the Sunday Titans Brunch to downtown residents as well.

Even though I am a member of the Nashville City Club, this was actually my first time attending a Titans Brunch. I don't know why it took me so long to swing by on a game day. The view of Titans Stadium from the 20th floor of this building at 4th and Church St. is outstanding!

Join me for this fabulous food pictorial of the Titans Brunch at the Nashville City Club. You can also visit them at

Fashionable Boxed Wine??

Fashionable Boxed Wine??
This boxed wine by Swiss company Vernissage resembles a designer handbag. It certainly makes serving boxed wine at a dinner party much more stylish! It also makes for a great conversation piece.

According to Vernissage, this particular Chardonnay Viogner has "an aromatic bouquet with hints of apple, citrus, pineapple and vanilla. The flavor is dry, flowery and very fruity with the essence of pear, citrus, tropical fruits and vanilla".
How about pairing this Chardonnay Viognier with a lovely cheese array like this one from one of my recent events at the Nashville City Club?
Sounds like a great dinner party to me!!
